LA PLATA

La Plata is beautiful, its construction began in 1882, it is a kind of synthesis of the diagram of several European cities and the ideas of the baron Haussmann, for who relates to the center of the city. It is a city aired by green big spaces, where it is good to stroll, and to which the many museums testify to an important cultural life.

The plaza Moreno

This place is the convergence point of the principal avenues of La Plata, its avenues are broad and wooded and green spaces are numerous there.

The cathedral

Located on one on the sides of Plaza Moreno. It is an impressive building of French neogothic style, very symmetrical and balanced in its construction.

The Argentinian theater

Destroyed by a fire in 1977, it was restored.

The museum of Biology

Many are the museums with La Plata, but it is this one which it is absolutely necessary to visit. Its collections of fossil mammals and parts of archeology place it among the best of the world in this field

The park Paseo del Bosque

A green space of 60 ha which offer an astonishing range of species of trees.

The reserve of the Biosphere

The 25,000 ha which form this reserve find in the south of Magdalena, on the coast of Rio of La Plata. Declared world reserve of the biosphere by UNESCO, this reserve is a little particular, since it does not prevent the human activity, in particular agriculture. One can traverse it in the car, at fallback speed to avoid disturbing the peace of the places.
